Helsingør 600 years

In 2026, Helsingør celebrates 600 years as a chartered market town!

A city shaped by trade, encounters between people, and connections to the wider world, a history that also lives on through the performing arts.

Naturally, we are celebrating too, with street theatre right where people are – in the streets, on the squares, and at the harbour. Throughout the day of 2 June 2026, you can experience street theatre, clowning, and circus performances. Some acts will pop up in different places around the city, while others are scheduled performances taking place at specific locations and times.

Read more below about the Danish and international performances and artists and find out when and where you can experience them.

Woow!

Cie Bruboc (IT)

A surreal, wordless, and clown-comic circus performance. Two surreal characters arrive. They come from far away — no one knows how long they have been traveling. The two are both clowns, acrobats, and poets, and together they explore balance, trust, and collaboration, transforming every movement into a moment of magic and surprise.
WOOW! is not just a title — it is the sound of shared wonder. A poetic and sensory experience for all ages — a small yet meaningful journey between body, imagination, and dreams.

Like a painter, but using words, Ox Maló portrays each participant through improvised poems written on his typewriter. Afterwards, the poem is given to the participant as a gift.
