The effect of art in public spaces
CASE STUDY: Kulturens Analyseinstitut and Bikubenfonden
Each year, Passage takes art, culture and memorable experiences out of the institutions and into the places, where people live and spend their time. We do this in the streets of Helsingør and the surrounding areas.
The festival has therefore been selected as one of five case studies in a survey conducted by Kulturens Analyseinstitut og Bikubefonden.
The study focuses on temporary art initiatives in public spaces and aims to contribute new insights into the encounters between citizens and art. At the same time, it seeks to raise awareness about the conditions for art.
The ambition is to strengthen the conversation about art in public spaces among cultural institutions as well as municipal and national decision-makers.
During the festival Kulturens Analyseinstitut will be present to collect data through questionnaires and interviews.
