The Old Shipyard

Kajen Company (SE)
Work in progress | Green Streets of Europe:

An immersive performance using the area as a playground for our imagination.

The performers work with what the space has to offer, whether that be time travel: Recalling historical sounds of the space or discovering in real time. Moving through the shipyard, our bodies, our feet, our ears are invited into real life storytelling created with the fragments of tales left behind and the lingering narratives eager to start their journey.

This is a performance for lovers of spontaneity who will allow themselves to be swept up for the ride. We invite you to laugh, sigh and experience a movement of impulses to add a new layer to the story of the Old Shipyard.

GREEN STREETS OF EUROPE PROJECT – RESIDENCY

Kajen Company are in their final residency at Passage Festival and are part of the European project Green Streets of Europe (2023–2025). Last Spring, they had their first residency – now they have further developed their artistic ideas and one last public showing.

In the Green Streets of Europe project, artists and festivals work together to rethink conventional structures for the production and international touring of performing arts works in public spaces. By opening up artistic residencies and workspaces to include local citizens and audiences, we believe it is possible to create longer-lasting and more sustainable formats and relationships together.
