In the backstage room, we meet an old variety artist. Sitting in front of the mirror, he stares at his own reflection. He looks at a face, he cannot recognize, and the room begins to take on a will of its own.
As the artist battles chronic insecurity and a failing memory, he desperately tries to stay in character. But time has left its mark, and the magic of the theatre slowly pulls him away from reality.
OFF is a humorous, surprising and enchanting short performance.

Grand Danois is a breathtaking, anarchistic circus performance that uses acrobatics, music, and humor to question our ideas of freedom and the pursuit of wealth.
We meet a ragged and somewhat dysfunctional circus company living life on the road – a life filled with the scent of sawdust and popcorn, where home is wherever their old circus wagon, Lotte, ends up in a ditch for the night.
Their dream is to restore the grandeur of the circus and travel the world to meet applause and admiration. But is the journey just as important as the destination? And what is the true cost of freedom and community?

Delicate Balancing of a Twig is a participatory movement meditation exploring collective presence through a single shared gesture: Balancing an ordinary twig on the tiniest point of one’s knuckle.
This radically simple act invites care, sensitivity, and deep attention toward an utterly familiar, overlooked object. Practiced together in public space, it becomes a gentle performance—a “community without communication,” responding to our era’s longing for quiet, symbolic, and nonverbal ways of being together.
The interaction between participants and passersby creates a playful presence and a shared curiosity and reflection on our behavior in public space, and our connection to nature.

Duration: Ongoing performance – 90 min x 2 for each venue. Participate as long as you like.

GREEN STREETS OF EUROPE PROJECT
The Hungarian artist Dávid Somló is one of the participating artists in the European project Green Streets of Europe (2023–2025). In April/ May, he was in artistic residency hosted by Helsingør Teater and PASSAGE Festival to further develop this performance.
In the Green Streets of Europe project, artists and festivals work together to rethink conventional structures for the production and international touring of performing arts works in public spaces. By opening up artistic residencies and workspaces to include local citizens and audiences, we believe it is possible to create longer-lasting and more sustainable formats and relationships together.
Dansedybet is a performance rooted in old Nordic traditions of transitional rituals and folk songs. Through the rhythmic movement of folk dancing, we are led into the story of the dancing plague that swept through medieval towns—where entire communities danced their way through crisis and misery. Past and present merge as the audience is invited to join the dance – to dance in protest, to forget, to celebrate, and to be part of a shared community.

The audience is invited into a small, enclosed space where juggler Stijn Grupping sets off a hypnotic dance with bouncing balls. It’s wordless, precise, and enchanting – like circus turned into poetry.
With sound, rhythm, and perfect timing, the balls come to life, taking you on a journey where gravity can no longer be trusted.
Ballroom is a dreamlike experience for both children and adults – and a must-see for anyone who thinks they’ve seen juggling before.

In a radical act, as simple as it is dizzying, as political as it is poetic, the aim here is to define the relationship between an artwork and its spectators.
It is collective and personal, spectacular and minimalist, obvious and insane, choreographic and accidental, it speaks and it falls silent at the top of its lungs.
Unfolding within a stunning scenography claimed by no one, a tree, seen from below.
Buy a ticket and become part of the artwork’s creation. Without you, it falls to the ground.

Duration: 10-15 min
PLEASE NOTE: This performance has no specific audience limit.
HOWEVER: In order for this artwork to be realized there need to be 30 ticket holders, and it is a commitment from the ticketholder to be an active participant, for the artwork to be realized.

Weeping Men arises from a deep need to sweat out the oppressive systems. The performance takes place in the intimate and ritual space of the sauna, where the audience sits shoulder to shoulder with the performers. The audience becomes participants in a collective cleansing, where the ‘crying vikings’ gradually strip away their power and dominance through the heat, sweat and the fierce shouts of the finnish choir Huutajat. The choir fills the air with rhythmic shouts and lamentations inspired by the ancient Edda poems. Their performance pulses with energy, shifting from raw intensity to fragile vulnerability.
They start in shouting suits and ends naked and silent in the sea – so that we too may leave the sauna lighter, more aware of ourselves and more mindful of the history we carry.
Weeping Men unfolds in three sauna rounds, each representing a stage in a profound, detoxifying journey. The ritual are guided by Petri Sirviö, ceremony master and conductor.

A heavenly mini-experience, where you’ll experience the best moment of your life one more time within a minute! Those who go in ‘ordinary’ will come out ‘extraordinary’. A heavenly mega metamorphosis that totally renews you. It is solemn, silly, corny and profound, , moving and hysterical, earthly and holy – and over before you know it.
In short: A small performance with a big impact.
