These fluffy pastel-coloured unicorns celebrate hope, freedom and community after months of lockdown, isolation and darkness of winter! With wireless sounds systems they move through public spaces, pull audiences out of the daily humdrum and lifts the mood in the castle gardens with fun and funky beats, combined with dream-like soundscapes.

Saturday the 22nd and Sundag the 23rd of August you can experience a street theater programme in Skegness, England, from the comfort of your couch! We will be live-streaming performances and talks at our Facebook- and Youtube-site from SOfa Fest. Watch The Horsemen and Alex Barti from the PASSAGE Festival 2020, dance along to SOfa Dance or experience an international choir-performance.

The programme has sections for children, families and adults, and is presented in English.

Jekyll is a sensitive and introverted ice salesman who, in an attempt to break the ice and come out of his shy shell, embarks on a slippery slope.

In his quest to invent the world’s best ice cream an accident happens, the ingredients are mixed incorrectly, and out of the blue his devilish opponent Hyde emerges.

Jekyll On Ince! is a visual comedy that with warmth and humor depicts the attempt to create a balance between being true to oneself and being loved for who you are.

Thursday 31 July 2020, SO Festival (UK) and PASSAGE Festival in (DK) presented this International discussion featuring leading European street theatre festival directors who gave their thoughts on the current challenges and opportunities and how these will shape the future of Street Theatre festivals. Also joining the discussion was Catherine Mitchell, Arts Council England’s National Director for Combined Arts and head of the Stage Arts of Danish Arts Council Lars Seeberg.

Slabaam is part of ‘b y p a s s‘ at the PASSAGE Festival. A platform where selected artists are given the opportunity to experiment with formats of art in the public space.

How would you deal with the law of gravity, mediocracy, and winter depression at the same time? You would get a specially designed large bouncy-cushion and begin exploring it. Throw yourself on the side, throw yourself on the head, fall on your ass. Jump alone, jump together. On earth, the way it does in heaven.

Few can avoid smiling when Uppercut Dance Theater jumps, dances and falls on their “AirFloor”. It can handle the weight of three fully grown men, and still make all movement look playfully light. Almost.

For something is doomed to go wrong when the dancers play Simon Says and the earth is poisonous. They jump over, under and into each other. Call them cheering idiots, hoptimists or just someone with their heads in the clouds.

With JUMP, Uppercut Dance Theatre’s artistic director and choreographer Stephanie Thomasen and renowned Israeli choreographer Ofir Yudilevitch escape the stage floor and challenge gravity. From here, the performance is lifted into completely new layers of air – choreographically, visually, and technically. Always with risk as a basic condition. For every jump has the possibility of a fall.
