Émile is a bicycle recycling professor with green, yet oil-stained fingers. He lives in a mechanical bicycle tree, built of old bicycle parts. The bicycle tree can light up, play music and spin like a carousel. But first, Émile must learn that the world only turns, when we help each other. The French cycling artist Serge Huercio plays Émile in a poetic and playful performance inspired by cycling, recycling and the Danish humorist Storm P.

A story of the loss of understanding of the world, of others and of oneself.

Last Call is an interactive street performance that follows the flow of today’s communication by allowing the audience to call our phone booth and influence the performance. From a humorous standpoint and using dance, movement and physical theater, we question the way we communicate today, how we behave in our social circles and how we are influenced by our phones, always drawing parallels between the “now” and the “then”.

Følgesvende og Ledestjerner is a physical and poetic experience of forms of leadership and ways of following. Dancers lead each other from place to place, and their wanderings develop into a form of hypnosis. They become still and the bodies are opened up and are looked upon. They take turns leading each other with a strong energy that puts followers and possibly others in completely new situations. This is one of several performance variations for spectators and passers-by in the public space, who are met with movement and electronic music.

“Fictions of the Flesh” (2021) is a site-specific solo performance that examines the relationship between the present, embodiment, and the figure of the stranger: all topics found within the current decolonial turn in art and academia. ENVÀ (in Catalan) is a thin wall that is constructed to separate spaces.
People often build mental walls that protect us from a serious emotional danger regarding others. We spend our lives looking for a way to free ourselves and all we need is to knock that wall down. The wall doesn’t let us fully feel and communicate without barriers. Symbolically, we reflect the stupidity of human nature and all those actions we do in vain in order to find each other.
This concept is brought to life hand to hand circus technique. Combining the integration of figures in the context, joining acrobatics with history, humour and intensity, emotion, innovation and beauty.

They have disco rhythms, swinging hips and red-hot instruments! Four animals set the street in motion when they come marching, clucking, bleating and roaring in a colorful musical procession! The four animals carry their musical instruments and drag a small cart along, carrying their sound system. When they stop, they throw themselves into a fast-paced musical disco-potpourri with accompanying dance steps. “Tju-hej Vilde Dyr” is a mobile street theater based on the virtues of Dansk Rakkerpak, which creates outdoor theater in a universal theater language – well spiced with madness and humor.

As if they follow an assembly manual from a parallel universe, the characters / craftsmen are working on a site where everyone has their role. They perform precise gestures resulting from hours and hours of routine. Here, physical efforts are pushed to exhaustion which sometimes leads to an unexpected result.
Their normality is in our eyes an absurdity. As the materials and the scenography elements are transformed, real paintings start to appear. We witness the complicated, illogical and bizarre creation of a work of art.
In this universe of the absurd and the strange, bricolage is not treated in its raw form. It is repeated, ritualized, coordinated and detached from its original function in order to bring it closer to the practices of dance, circus, music and visual arts. With his third creation, Claudio Stellato gets further in his research between body and material.
