If you were to take one last trip through your city, where would you choose to go? What would you want to see one last time? Your usual route? Your childhood home? Or maybe somewhere you’ve never been, only dreamed of?

Join elderly man Hans and his caring helper on a final walk through the city to places that have been important to him. We pass places where he met people he got to know and people who left him longing. We see his life in everyday spaces, hills of hardship, corners with touches of happiness. And as we go, time passes, decay sets in and a farewell approaches.
With associations to Haneke’s film “Amour” and Dan Turèll’s “Through the city for the last time”, we go on a final excursion with two different people who look a lot like each other…
The performance is an exclusive experience that provides a poetic and captivating story of life for a small company of 20 people. Throughout the 2½ hour performance, we get up close and personal with the performer and his puppet: the old man in the wheelchair. In this company, the audience is invited into a philosophical conversation about life and existence. During the walk, the audience is also caringly taken care of as they walk, stop and take a break.

With headphones on and guided by the sounds of garden owners, aesthetic soundscapes, and the voices of experts, you are led through perennial beds and flowers. Two performers take you through the garden’s spaces, inviting you to open your senses in encountering the poetic and sensory anatomy of specific plants: the scent of spearmint or sage, the taste of candied roses, and the deep purple sap of elderberry. Along the way, they encounter the dandelion and the cultivated rose, as well as the aching body of the garden worker.

HAVEN is a site-specific walking experience that investigates our relationship with nature from a scholarly, poetic, and sensory perspective throughout history and today.

TICKET PERFORMANCE

Kinski – Roi de Rats (King of Rats) tells the story of Kinski, a troubled and unemployed actor, who finds himself having to sell vampire teeth to survive. In a demonstration of the product’s potential through the staging of Nosferatu, Kinski ends up turning into a rat, in protest, and stinks up the whole town. KINSKI is ready to be on the loose in public space in a context of homelessness.

The extreme transfiguration of Rui Paixão’s body feeds chaos, disorder and an unusual absurdity, through improvisation and interaction with the public, with artistic interventions that mix visual arts, physical theatre and the clown.

You Are a Day Tomorrow is an invitation to listen with equal parts nostalgia, hope, and desperation, through headphones whilst sitting on chairs in a classroom.

Breath is performed by Nønne Mai Svalholm, her muse Sisse Lunøe and a large inflatable yellow-black sculpture, which they think of as the work’s third dancer; with references to a lung, an ocean, a garden, a body, a gate. At first the breathing is slow and calming, then commanding and finally out of control. Breath examines breath as a life-giving and transformative figure.

Nønne Mai Svalholm has created the sculpture in collaboration with multi-artist Henrik Vibskov.

COLLECTIVE MATTER 1: Passages is a dive into the deeper layers of our shared memory and the potential that emerges when we unfiltered meet our inner visions and hallucinations. The work is a common reflection between generations, a transition, an exchange and a co-creation.

Through daily meditative practices, four performers have created individual solos. Together, these solos create a common choreographic composition that includes moments of abstraction as well as more recognizable situations. Voices and movement from subconscious layers point towards the unpredictable. Passages was originally created for the COLLECTIVE MATTER in 2021, which was performed during Aarhus Festival.

The scenario is simple: a prisoner dreams of escaping from a daily life composed of a bed, a pillow, and a toolbox. With his imaginary friend, he dreams of another life far from this cramped cell and tells his story.

Caillasse (stones, cobblestones) immerses us in the history of rebels of all eras, throwers of cobblestones, pebbles. With a delirious and corrosive humor, the two artists mix play and acrobatics, a cappella singing and scrap metal percussion in a show with a grating universe where mischief and poetry are omnipresent.

With a cube as a stage and the public space as the only setting, a dancer and a musician tame each other and cross time until they find a common rhythm. Bien Parado is an ode to freedom, a visceral battle to emancipation.

Bien Parado (”Stop”, ”well posed”) is the name for a pose in the Sevillana dance tradition from the South of Spain. Jane Fournier and Cédric Froin create an encounter between the tradition of a dance transmitted for generations, and the world of the night, where bodies dance undone by all rules.

Telling an intimate revolution agitated by the underground mutations of a tormented world, Bien Parado questions the codes that are too established, and opens a necessary dialogue between heritage and deconstruction, allowing us to enjoy a a strong connection through a new, common rhythm.
