Antilia: Hanger?
At first glance, Antilia appears to be a classic circus arena where five artists perform their acts in rotation. Upon closer acquaintance, it is much more than that. It is a collective, a community that seeks to explore the relationship between the artist and the organizer, between the artwork and the audience, as they travel with a touring circus arena in Europe.

Did you ever think about the fascinating and amazing possibilities of the objects, we all use distractedly every day? Hangers, for instance?
The eccentric clown and object manipulator has – and after he has taken you on a journey with his hangers, you will never think about them the same way again. Silently, the hangers come alive, fly, trasform in unexpected ways and even become part of a love affair with a dramatic final duel.

Antilia is a desire to share, dream, and create circus in an arena that encompasses not only performances but also places and emotions. Inside Antilia, you can feel the lively and direct connection between the audience and the artist in a magical and welcoming atmosphere.

Antilia præsenteres i et samarbejde mellem festivalerne Mirabilia (IT), PASSAGE Festival, Fitcarrer (ES), Deventer op de stelten (NL) og Spoffin street arts festival (NL).
Samarbejdet støttes af Ministero della Cultura, Italien og FNAS – Federazione Nazionale Arti in Strada, som en del af programmet Interspazi: et udvekslingsprogram med europæisk ny-cirkus, hvor cirkusforestillinger fra de deltagende festivaler udveksles. Programmet indeholder desuden et lærings- og udvekslingsforløb for unge kuratorer og udveksling af unge kunstnere og frivillige.
