The Pilgrimage

Cocoloco (UK)
An immersive re-appreciation of the fine arts

The Pilgrimage is an immersive, site specific, interactive, experiential walking tour based on the idea of finding salvation, in this case, through an adoration or appreciation of some of the great works of art.

Critics will nod and blog admiringly.

Cynics will smile through their once curled lips. Doubters and jealous colleagues will begrudgingly press ‘like’ on their devices.

Children will enter a state of grace and beg their teachers to take them to the Art Gallery.

Psychopaths will weep and hug strangers shamelessly. Elderly folk will briefly forget about their arthritis.

Walking show

Duration: 75 min.

About the compagny

Cocoloco is a street theatre/performance art company set up by Trevor Stuart and Helen Statman in 2000 and based in London. Cocoloco excels in everything from Glimpse Theatre to Street Vaudeville to Cabaret and Hardcore Experimental Theatre. We sometimes ask the audience to become part of the show, which is always anarchic, quirky and wildly funny.

Credits: Helen Statman and Trevor Stuart – directors, devisors, performers Pascal Rousson & Genevieve Closuit – designers Miriam Ceh – costume Iona Johnson, Laura Wilson, Olivia Caw, Sasha Marie Farmer – performers
