Welcome. To a universe that has been built on the oldest of myths: THE FLOOD.
This is the story about the world’s extinction and resurrection, and YOU can influence the outcome.
Together we embark on a journey where the audience is no longer reduced to a silent observer.
Instead you are asked to take part in saving humanity from the imminent crisis.
THE FLOOD takes place in the old shipyard in Elsinore and its dry dock, that now houses The Maritime Museum of Denmark. This historical site for ship construction will host an artistic attempt to build an Ark that can save us from a modern-day flood. An auditive and visually strong performance, that will leave it up to the audience to hold together the pieces of a lifeboat that appears fragmented and fragile.

About the company
The artist collective Vontrapp is a crossover group based on performing arts, music, visual arts, and architecture. Vontrapp creates unique artistic installations and events, which vary in both form and content, but always have the same starting point: the place and the recipient. Vontrapp works site-specific and it is the viewer’s physical and sensory presence that is the focal point of the staging.
