…in a time when thoughts are stored in the cloud
and love lives through fleeting chats?
GribGruppen invites you to the sanctuary of paper,
where we gather around our shared paper heritage.
An archive of diaries, newspapers, love letters, manuals, paper dolls and more
offers a moving glimpse into our everyday lives — past and present.
In Requiem for Papir?,
paper unfolds into a sensuous universe,
awakening images of moments and lived lives
in a way that perhaps only paper can.

About the company
GribGruppen consists of three artists based in Gribskov: Composer and musician Birgit Løkke, scenographer Filippa Berglund, and performing artist Helene Kvint. GribGruppen aims to create both large and small artistic interventions in the local area over the coming years.
Paper is the central theme — both as material and concept — and the vision is to develop close collaborations with the local community. The works take on various forms such as concerts, exhibitions, and performance pieces. Everyday local life and its stories are an important part of GribGruppen’s projects.
Requiem for Paper? is presented in collaboration with GribGruppen, Gribskov Teater, Helsingør Teater, PASSAGE Festival, and Kulturværftet.
