Letters flow through his veins. He breathes fantasy. Ever since the dawn of mankind he has assisted authors with the creation of their Magnum Opus.
If you conquer fear and take a little time to watch this creature carefully, you will discover the Great Stories, appearing on the surface of his body. The paper skin of the King can easily transform into a fortress, a cruel ocean, or a magical forest, all inhibited by well-known characters.

About the company
Meandertaal is a visual theatre company based in Belgium and created by Griet Herssens and Jelle Van Rossem in 2013. Their first creation was Paper Cuts, a poetic walking act in which they created a mythical King of Literature, a muse for all the writers and poets. This show is created entirely out of recycled and fragile matter and symbolises a counterculture in a fastly speeding and digital world. The two man theatre group has travelled all over Europe in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria. Their main goal is to capture small audiences in intimate performances through the power of visual simplicity in frequently used materials.
