Mask Workshop – The Voice of Nature

Linh Le + Randi Kjær (DK)
Come and learn how to build and paint a mask representing a wild, local species so you can become one of nature's voices!

Linh Le is hosting mask workshops where you can come and build a mask representing a wild species, such as a toad, bird, mammal, insect, mushroom, or plant. The masks will be used for the performance “Saa by som Borger, Saa borger som Art” (As city as citizen, as citizen as species), which is part of PASSAGE Planet.

The mask-building process takes place in two parts. It is possible to attend only one of the days, but in that case, another person will complete the mask for you in part 2.

PART 1 – Monday, July 31st, from 13:00 to 17:00 at Toldkammeret: We build the masks using clay, masking paper, and adhesive.

PART 2 – Wednesday, August 2nd, from 10:30 to 15:00 at Børnenes Hus: We paint the masks.

INFO

Everyone can participate. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Note: Please bring a bicycle helmet that will not be used on the days when the mask is being built. The helmet will serve as the base for the mask and will not be damaged. It will allow you to take your mask with you even if it is not completely dry.

After Linh Le’s performance, the masks will be donated to Helsingør Municipality, where they will be displayed along with the knitted costumes at a later time.
