Grand Danois is a breathtaking, anarchistic circus performance that uses acrobatics, music, and humor to question our ideas of freedom and the pursuit of wealth.
We meet a ragged and somewhat dysfunctional circus company living life on the road – a life filled with the scent of sawdust and popcorn, where home is wherever their old circus wagon, Lotte, ends up in a ditch for the night.
Their dream is to restore the grandeur of the circus and travel the world to meet applause and admiration. But is the journey just as important as the destination? And what is the true cost of freedom and community?
