Bel Horizon

Le G. Bistaki (FR)
Western-inspired, choreographic and site-specific circus

In this world where everything is accelerating, condensing, merging, Le G. Bistaki suggests, in a low voice, to extract oneself physically and mentally. To extract oneself with calm towards a Beautiful Horizon

Here you are here in the middle of this “facing the horizon”. And now, in the face of this, everyone shares its thoughts and creates the tragedy: we see our heroes, our enemies, the best of the human being and the irrecoverable impulses of madness which belong to each one.

Staging vases and swords and using a circus and choreographic language, the 8 performers of Bel Horizon plunge us into the heart of a great epic with hybrid poetry. Celebrations, mutualizations, improbable articulations, the journey is rich in discoveries for those who stop, leave, again and again. Along the way, the meaning of things changes…

You will be welcome at this show and even more so if you have a vase that you wish to get rid of… Nothing is compulsory, but consider this gesture as a participative extension to the universe of Bel Horizon. Just hold it in your arms at the start of the show, as a sign of recognition. The rest will come when the time is right.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Le G. Bistaki is an internationally acclaimed, choreographic and investigative circus collective made up by jugglers, dancers and actors in the purpose of shaking their everyday artistic and scenic path, by innovating their experimental and representational ways and thus depicting a surreal world in a common place.

With a very controlled aesthetic, Le G. Bistaki stages everyday objects. At the crossroads of juggling, dance and theatre, it upsets our vision of the show, our relationship to the space we are in and to other spectators. The environment, whether urban or rural, open or closed, is the scene of their action.
