At PASSAGE Festival you can experience one of 13 different, site-specific performances, presented from June to October 2021 throughout Europe as part of the PPP project.
In Helsingør, the performance is created by 16 young dancers from Scandinavia and the Czech Republic together with the renowned Aktionstheater PAN.OPTIKUM: With mirrors as a central focal point, both in a figurative sense and in the scenographic framework. The choreography is based on urban dance and hip hop, in which the youth explores our common European borders and identity.

104 YOUNG PEOPLE DANCE THROUGH EUROPE
People Power Partnership 2020-2024 is a large, international dance and theater project.
In the spring and summer of 2021, 13 partners from 11 European countries have held auditions for young dancers between the ages of 18-25, who participate first in a series of smaller venue-specific performances and later one large-scale performance, that is sent on tour to all partners and festivals in Europe.
PASSAGE Festival and Helsingør Teater is one of the 13 partners. Since auditions were held, all partners and the various artistic teams have worked to develop the site-specific performances for each venue. In total, the PPP will present 13 different venue-specific performances from June to October across Europe.
At PASSAGE Festival 2021 you can experience a performance created by and with two teams of a total of 16 young dancers from resp. Scandinavia and the Czech Republic. Together with the artistic team from Aktionstheater PAN.OPTIKUM, they have in the summer of 2021 worked intensely with the musical, textual and spatial elements that characterize their countries, culture, and history.
All the site-specific performances will therefore be completely unique, and it is precisely this diversity that runs through the PPP and the performances. The common exchange and connection created between the young people across cultural and linguistic boundaries will eventually come together in the performance that can be experienced at PASSAGE 2021
